Using Kaplan question trainer

I just have a question to those of you who have been using the kaplan question trainer. I was wodnering what you have been scoring on the test??? I am taking the test Wednesday and have been scoring in the 60s. Should I be worried??? I am feeling like I have not prepared enough for the NCLEX!!! I am starting to get really nervous! Thanks for any info

From what I'm hearing, it sounds like you're doing just fine! I know Kaplan says "65% or over" for readiness, but frankly, people here have been reporting getting low 50s to maybe 60, even some high 40's, and still passing nclex without dying.

I think Kaplan is WAY the hell harder than anything out there (I got 80-90 on Saunders, and stayed in the low 60s for Kaplan).

So, based on the threads the last couple of weeks, we're BOTH ready

I go wednesday

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

i just finished a kaplan course and the lady teaching the course said we need 70-75, which NO ONE could get. The book says 60 - 65. Plus the lady teaching the course explained that there are several levels of questions in the available question banks, and Kaplan picks almost all 3's and 4's--the hardest level. I am averaging about a 66 - 68 and test in one week from today.
What I learned from Kaplan:
__Figure out what they are really asking.
__always pick lemonade

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

I used the question trainer and scored high 60's - low 70's. I passed the NCLEX in 75. Just be sure to review/understand your rationales. I believe kaplan is much harder than the NCLEX and was the best out of the 10 cd's I tried. Good Luck! Remember to stay calm (as hard as it sounds it means a lot).

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

Today I almost fell out of my chair when I saw I had gotten a 77% on the 50 Qbank questions I did. I have been scoring in the 50's. In the last week (since my test is next week) I have started doing a ton more questions and have noticed that I am finally starting to improve. I can honestly say that by next week I'll be as ready as I'll ever be to take this stupid test.

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

Practice makes all the difference with these tests....I had been getting in the 50's, MAYBE low 60's with Qbank for a long time....then started to expect mid-sixties....then, by close to the end, I expected to be in the low 70s all the time! Was always great to see something above that, too

Time and practice will change you from 50s to 70s in a matter of weeks!

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

Except for QT 2 i have never got more than 61 in the other QTs, Qbank ranged from 50s to 70s .... passed nclex last week with 75 questions. You are doing great if you are getting in the 60s. Good Luck!!

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

I did the Kaplan complete course. I averaged about 60's!!I got 50's and high 60's. I really knew that I failed the NCLEX. I thought that the Kaplan questions were harder than the NCLEX. I did about 3000 questions to prepare me.

I got ALL the questions in NCLEX. All 265 of them and was the last person.

In the end, I passed! So, there is hope! You can do it!

Re: Using Kaplan question trainer

Hi everyone,
I feel more relaxed with all your comments, that means that I cannot feel frustrated for the results that I got so far by using the QBank and I have average 58%, in the first Test trainer I got 58% and in the
2 test trainer I got 68%, but I'm still study, because sometimes I even get 40's, so only in the test 2 I got my highest percentage...for which I feel happy, so, I' ll keep study hard
