Types of questions on NCLEX that I had

We've all heard about how the 85 and 205 questions work. Well here's MY question:

I got ALOT of the same type of question.......and I had to answer all 205 questions.............help me! I just took SB today, and already feel like the biggest loser ever

In regards to "the same type of question", it was a particularly easy subject...... I failed didn't I? Hate to be negative nelly, but I won't get my results until at least Monday, and all the odds are against me....I had to answer all of the ?s for cripe's sake!!!!!

Did you have any priority questions?

Re: Types of questions on NCLEX that I had

Trust us on this one: People pass the NCLEX-PN at 205 just like they pass at 85. And having one particular type of question come up several times - that doesn't mean you failed, either. It happens. Keep in mind that many of the 205 questions don't even count toward your exam since they are unscored items being tested for future use.

Good luck on your results!

Re: Types of questions on NCLEX that I had

I had the exact same question approx 5 times. Each time it just had a differnet set of possible answers. It was a prioritzing question and I passed with 85 questions. I was freaking out becouse I just knew that this had to be a low level question becouse the answer seemed so obvious. I would try to remain calm the questions you got and number of questions mean nothing.

Re: Types of questions on NCLEX that I had

I passed my NCLEX-RN with 75 questions and I had a lot of similar questions as well. I also had priority, delegation, and some pretty straightforward (as much as NCLEX can get anyway) questions. You can never tell how well you did by the questions you are asked. There is no logic to the NCLEX.

Re: Types of questions on NCLEX that I had

I passed NCLEX RN in 75 questions and had 3 questions on the same med and at least two sets of questions about the same diseases, just worded differently, ie: one would be regarding lab values, another would be teaching, then a priority one.

Good luck to you!

Re: Types of questions on NCLEX that I had

I passed with 75 quesions and I had a lot of prioritizing, delegation and infection control questions. I had at least 3 or 4 nitro questions and they were all about the side effects of it and how it should affect the body. My infection control - they were all the same except the diseases were different. Drove me NUTS.

It's normal to second, third, fourth guess yourself after the NCLEX. I honestly couldn't tell a first tier question from a 3rd tier question until I came here and found out that I was basically testing at the third tier all along and that was a great relief to me. I had to of been getting *something* right.

Try to relax the next few days. The time will go faster than you think.

Good luck!
