As a foreign trained nurse, you will be much further ahead using the Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN.

Where in CA are you?

Re: TIPS for nclex pliz....

I have been using the NCBSN website, along with Saunders and Kaplan. I like the variety of questions that I get that way. I think the NCBSN course is OK, and I feel like the questions on there are more difficult than elsewhere. Sometimes the answers come outta nowhere to me, and I think "what??". But I find myself getting better at them. The course also provides outlines of material, just as Saunders does. I think it's more or less worth it. But I too would like to know what others opinions are of the NCBSN course.

Re: TIPS for nclex pliz....

I only recommend the Saunder's Review book, I have had excellent results with those that I have helped pass the exam. Not about to change. And no reason to spend all of the money.

Re: TIPS for nclex pliz....

I'm a Canadian nurse...I passed the NCLEX on my 2nd try....my best advice is do lots and lots and lots of different questions...just keep practicing with questions....study hard...eat well, sleep well, excersise, think positively and you will pass.

Re: TIPS for nclex pliz....

I recommend:
Saunders: comprehensive review
Kaplan: understanding NCLEX question structuring
NCSBN: questions closest to NCLEX, ties in all of the above courses.

Re: TIPS for nclex pliz....

Are you all using a Kaplan book that teaches you how to answer the NCLEX-RN questions or is it a course? Is the online course free? Please help!

hi suzanne. I am a newbie here. A relative sent me Saunder's Q&A Review for the NCLEX Exam. Would this be enough? Is there another Saunder's book?
Thanks in advance. I would appreciate your response.

Talking Re: TIPS for nclex pliz....

I used kaplan online course, and it's not free..just go to www.kaplannursing.com and see how much the cost now,bec it depends on the course you will select. It's expensive but it's worth it!!! I used the kaplan book as well, but the course is a lot better! They will teach you how to approached each questions, and one thing I liked about online courses is,you can do it over and over again,if you still want more of their lectures, just one click, and there you go!It helps me strengthen my weakeness.
Goodluck!
