Re: test in May

Hello, I was glad to read your post. I graduated in 1996 and was very very afraid to take the NCLEX just because its been so long since I've completed school. I took the NCLEX in March and did not pass. However I feel good because my results indicate I was near passing in each exam area, and I dont think thats too bad being its been 12 years since school. I feel confident that I will pass the next time around. I used the NCSBN learning extension online study course for 5 weeks. Actually I purchased the 5 week course, but only used it for 3 weeks. This time around I have the Kaplan stragegies book and it appears to be okay so far. I wish you luck on passing your exam. You can do it. Just dont give up.

Re: test in May

thanks for the notetation, its nice to know I'm not along. I was told that the Sanders 3rd edtion is a good source to learn from. I brought ti a week ago. I studied a chapter a day because I work full time. It's hard to study having a family as well. I find the book very helpful. Alot of info was not taught back in '96/'97. Therefore we need to relearn everything, so yes you're right it's a hard, but I'm glad that you feel more confident since you were so close to passing. I thought about taking the test just to see how I did in coming close to passing. We basically have to train ourselves to think postive at all times and ask God to guide us the right way. It's not that we are dumb to nursing it's the test format that seem to be design to confuse us. We are intelligent people and going to be great Nurses SOON!I wish you well with God's Blessing in May! This time we are going to keep going forward and never give up, too many years were already wasted.
