Exclamation Success Study Tips

hello everyone,
i would like to share my study tips with all of you.

i read every chapter of Saunders review book and made notes (just important info: for example, name of a disease, s/s, how to treat). then i studied it. and then i did Qs at the end of each chapter. when i completed this step i used learningext.com (5 weeks review). but everyday in addition i reviewed info that i studied from my previous days. basically it's like a train system: study new info, review the old info. yes, it adds up, but i was able to build up my knowledge this way. plus, after reviewing so many times, certain things stick in one's head and it's easy to understand.

i didn't use Kaplan. it was too expensive for me.

so good luck, everyone.

never give up. soon or later everybody passes. it's just the matter of time. always belive in God ! remember things do happen for a reason.

Re: Success Study Tips

Jess, thanks for the tip, I failed my nclex twice now. Can you tell me if you used Suzanne's plan all the way to the end. And also, did you work as a nurse tech while you were waiting for the retake?
Thanks again!

Re: Success Study Tips

i didn't use Suzannne's plan, but i used saunders book only.

yes, i worked as a nurs.tech for a few weeks only. but i thought about quiting my job(if i fail *3). i was tired and couldn't concentrate on my studying.

my scores from NSCBN were from 50th to 70th (not higher).

Re: Success Study Tips

Thank you, guys.

one more psych tip from me:
there were many times when i was discouraged and frustrated, BUT.... every time i studied i had my nursing diploma on my table (in front of my eyes). i kept telling myself i have a degree, i worked hard for it, i have enough knowledge to pass this test and I WILL PASS THIS TEST !
