Took my NCLEX in CA on Sunday, July 29th. Most od my friends received their results via the BON website in 3 days... others, including myself are waiting a lot longer. I called the BON & they couldn't answer why some get their results quicker. I got the minimum 75 questions & felt like I guessed a lot. I guess everyone feels like that.
I was supposed to start working, but keep having to get my start date postponed due to no lisence number. I didn't get my IPN cause my hospital doesn't accept. I am getting very frustrated and desperate. I wish I my results would post. I am at the mercy of the BON and it seems as though the representatives on the phone arent very eager to help.

Anyone got any advice or let me know how long it took to receive your results & whether it posted online first or via post mail. Thanks everyone!

Anyone got any news as to how long they waited for results in CA recently & why some get their results on the BON website in 3 days, and others wait weeks for a letter in the mail first? Still waiting anxiously ;(

I took my NCLEX on August 1st, 3 days after you took yours. My name hasn't post yet, so I am already positive that I didn't pass. My classmate who took it the same time that I did got his response 3 days after. I had 265 questions, which I thought was a good sign. From what I read from this site many have passed with 265 questions. I knew someone who didn't pass and received her letter after a month. I can't wait to know that long. Like you I am having anxiety not knowing whether I passed or not.

I just found out from calling the BON that my letter or whatever they send you was sent today in the postal mail & that I should check the BON website in the morning for today's update. I got the minimum 75 questions, but have had to wait a while for the results. I am very nervous now that I know it may or may not be posted in the morning. I've worked so hard for this and I would be devistated if I didn't pass! What does everyone assess this situation to be? I know there is "no way to know", but What kind of trends are people seeing with this situation?

Dear Valfromcal,
We are all in the same situation. I know how you feel and like you I am devastated. One thing I can tell you is that until your letter comes, you can't really declare that you failed. I am praying that good news will come your way. Like what I've written earlier, I am already preparing myself for the "bad news." Worrying and feeling depress about the whole situation might hinder my chance for a second try. This site has been helpful in releasing my frustrations.

Thanks for your understanding. I hate to sound so down... it's not like me. I just had that phone call to the BON earlier & it almost seemed like the woman was hinting to me that I didn't pass. I mean they have to have the results right in front of them, don't you think? She said to me after pulling up my file that if your name isn't on the site in the morning, you can probably guess you results. I wonder if she knew and was trying to prepare me. Scary! I pray to God that I am just reading into it & my name will be on the site in the morning. I will pray for you too.

Hey I got my results today (8/9)and passed.I took my exam on August 1st 2007, and waited almost eight (8)days for my name to appear on the website.
I guess the California Board is doing its best possible to get results out in time

Congrats! I wouldn't be so nervous about the wait, but the lady on the phone said "so if your ame isn't posted for today, then you can probablly guess what happened. That was very discouraging, as I feel like she was trying to prepare me or something. How many questions did you get?

Oh, and did it post online before your letter came or not? I am trying to figure the system out but i think it's impossible. I have heard the process all different ways. Tha CA BON website hasent updated today yet (for yesterday) So you must have had your results posted on Aug 9, for Aug 8. I don't know why it updates that way, but then again, I can't figure it out.

Wish for the best and wait for some more time.
May sound harsh, but if you fail, try next time.
