Shut off at 116!??

What the heck? Okay I have studied dilegently for months. I feel like I wasted my time. OMG it was hard. After question 75 the screen turned blue, and then it asked me if I wanted to take a break. What? No, you were suppose to say Im done. I freaked because it kept going. So at question 91 I decided I needed to take a break. I went outside and ate some Willy Wonka Bottle caps, I needed some sugar.

I went back in and tried to relax. It was so hard. All I kept thinking was that I had to explain to my job that I failed and that I am not going to be a circulator this summer, I am gonna have to remain in my position as a surg tech. I love doing it but geez.

I can't wait until Thursday morning. Why can't the machine give us the results right there when it shuts off? It knows.

I can't remember much about the questions but I do remember that I did not get alot of anyone one type. It was like a major variety.

So...I think I failed. I left in tears

OMG help me get through this.

Thumbs up wait and pray!

Hi there, don't get depress, life is a gift so beatiful, wait until the news comes, enjoy today even if you are waiting for the results.

If you don't pass, well if not the end you can re-take, i am a re-taker on July 27, feel confident doesn't mean that i gonna crack this, it's not i will show up again until the moments comes.

I am a PCT at a vascular surgery unit, ICU nurse In Cuba, starting all over after reached the top in health cares out there, but thats what life is all about , ups and downs.

Think that you are not alone, and the fact that I am dedicating time for you, means that life is more that simple things.

Keep posted and inspired, let me know about you right!

Ulices from NY. I hope that you gonna be on the streets soon like this :hatparty:

i felt the same way a couple of days ago.. but i entrusted everything to God coz after the computer shut off i accepted that i can't do anything about it anymore.. so i just leave the rests to God. waiting period is really the hardest part.. but during those times i kept myself busy, going out with my husband.. and reading inspirational books.. talking to my closest friend. praying.

above all, wishing you positive result...

Your not alone

ohsru...
I know how you feel. The waiting game completely stinks. I took mine on Monday and today will be my 48 hours. I guess its the path all waiting RNs must take. Don't think you failed it. Everyone one does so your normal. I think I failed mine. Stay busy, go to work. I work as a tech in a icu and they had no hours for me, so I've been home pulling out hair.
I had 90 questions I think. I also had the screen go off and freaked, but then it said breaK? what? no...go. When it came back on I was at question 77, two hours went by. At question 85 I took a moment then went back in and it shut down soon after that. So I think it is 90 questions. I don't remember my last questions. I had a mixture of everything and the only ones I remember are the one I thought were knowledge base because I kept thinking, these will not help me to pass I need prioritizing and others. THis whole exam sucks. Waiting sucks. I'm with you, but everyone has had to do it. Now its your turn. You can look at it this way. I have not seen many people not pass at a odd number (between 75 & 265) I'm know that some have, and hope I'm not one of them, but not many. THe computer wants you to pass, you have 265 questions to prove your competence.
Good luck

your in good company

I also took mine today and I really don't feel very good about it. Mine did shut off at 75 but when I was filling out the survey they give you my hand was just shaking to death....got out to the car and cried my little eyes out. I am possitive I failed. I too got some of those knowledge questions and only 3 select all that apply questions and 4 math questions what the heck.

hopefully we will both pass!

Good luck to you.

The number of questions is only the number of questions. I wish people wouldn't fret so much over it, but what can I say?

Hang in there, it's a dreadful test and everyone feels bad when they leave regardless of how many questions they get.

Keep in touch.

Very Nice
Did you panic at 74? When I hit 74 I could not see straight and the room was warm and fuzzy. I don't think I actually relaxed until I took a break at 91. When I got back I said "Okay, here we go I am in for the long run". So I settled in and just went with it and then it shut off at 116. So I guess if you just sit back and relax it will all be okay.

Why do they make us wait? I don't get it. I think I would feel better if the screen turned red and said "fail, reschedule"

Anyways, sit back and relax and WAIT.

yea at 74 I was saying, holy crap and I had one of those lovely select all that apply questions...yuck. My instructor told me today that if they gave us our results at the testing center they would have too many suicide attempts right in the building. serves them right!
