I live in MI now but I would like to take my nursing boards in Illinois or Ohio because they are easier to pass (I have taken them twice here and failed both times...I have heard that the passing requirements are lower in other states and that MI has the highest requirements of any state) do you know how long it takes to get your license after applying for reciprocity in MI?

NCLEX is NCLEX! I am not sure that requirements are lower in one state than it is in another. I took my boards in IL. To take your NCLEX there, you have to be finger-printed by the state police and have a background check done before your letter to test is ever issued. You might want to contact the IL Department of Professional Regulation in Springfield, IL and talk to them about being from out of state and testing in IL -- because I am unsure of the residency requirements now.

Try an NCLEX review course...do you know what were your weak areas on your previous tests??

I moved your thread to the NCLEX forum for a better response.

As the above poster pointed out, NCLEX is NCLEX - state wide. And, there is no such thing as reciprocity. It is called endorsement. Once you pass NCLEX, you may endorse to another state by following their instructions - meeting requirements.
