Quick question about ATT

I'm in NY, I was just curious as to how long it has taken everyone to get the ATT, after you submitted your applications. I cant stand the wait!!!
Thanks ahead for the input! Jen

Re: Quick question about ATT

Hi, I sent in my application and then registered online with pearsonvue. I mailed my papers into the state on the 5th of july and got my ATT on 14th. Not to bad. The waiting is for the actual test date. The earliest I could get in PA is Aug. 9th.

I'm in NY, and I was told 2-6 weeks (when I applied mid-June). Depended on number of grads applying, staff available. I got a quick turnaround, though; less than 2 weeks.

Thanks! WOW Aug 9th! That sounds pretty quick to me. Thanks again

Re: Quick question about ATT

I'm in PA and I got the hard copy within 2 weeks, but I registered on line and got it in my email within a day or 2. I graduated in Feb though, so I don't think they were as busy then as they are now!!

Applying for License before Graduation

Re: Getting the ATT: I will be graduating in Aug., so I'm wondering if this will work: I sent in my application to Albany in June (and of course paid Pearson $200), so that when my school informs Albany that I graduated (god-willing), then Albany would immediately send me an ATT...last year, the school's Aug. 31 graduation date went by and the school mailed the names of the graduates a week later....Anyone have any experience in applying this way before you have graduuated???? Thanks.

Re: Quick question about ATT

I sent in my Pearson Vue in April. I sent in my NJ BON application May 27th and got my ATT in my email 2 weeks later.

You're fine. Except it won't be NYS sending you the ATT if you've already registered with Pearson: if you provided an email address (and it's likely you did) they'll email the ATT to you as soon as the State gives them the thumbs-up that everything's in order. Nothing from State BON, but the ATT from Pearson. It came VERY fast for me. Having that ATT means you can then go on the PV website and schedule your appointment

Re: Applying for License before Graduation

THANKS! I would like to start working in mid-Sept, so one of the hospitals I'm interviewing at asked if I minded started working on a permit as a back-up---in case I start work on, e.g., Sep. 16, but the first test date available is Sept. 19...It makes no difference to me--just $35 (which the hospital said it would pay), but the truth is that I'll probably be in the hospital's classroom the first 2 weeks of work so I technically wouldn't need my license until later anyway...Seems like a waste of energy and the hospital's $35 to cover for what will likely be at most a matter of days...

Ah, but think of all the revenue it generates for the State, lol....
