Re: Posting questions taken directly from NCLEX exam

You're close, Amadine. It's Feuer. Not sure exactly how they get away with that, as they even advertise that practice (students providing their exam questions) on their website. Not something we would want to get into here because of the agreement we signed when taking the NCLEX.

Re: Posting questions taken directly from NCLEX exam

I'd never heard of them, but I looked them up out of curiosity. Considering how the majority of them are held in hotel rooms rather than at an actual school is a red flag to me. That's terrible that they're allowed to obtain questions and "reword" them...

Yes, it is 100% illegal and they need to be reported. It is in violation of the contract that you have with the Board that writes the NCLEX exam to discuss any information that was on the exam with anyone, and they can get proscecuted for it. And websites have been closed down because of it.

That is not typical practice of Feuer review centers, but if one is doing that, they need to be reported, and ASAP to your Board of Nursing. And to their parent company. For students to give them questions, the student can actually be in big trouble and fined, and even jailed, if caught. It is that serious of an offense. Cheating is not tolerated on any level........and especially on a licensing exam.

Re: Posting questions taken directly from NCLEX exam

Having review questions on a site is one thing, provided that they wrote the questions; but asking a student to remember a few of the questions with the exact answers and giving them to the center is actually against the law and in a major way.

When I looked at their site, they said they get actal questions from the exam from stdents. Another part said they "reword" the actual questions...

Re: Posting questions taken directly from NCLEX exam

I just took the NCLEX 2 weeks ago, that test seemed almost like a joke compared to school tests.
Don't worry about the test, it's very easy.

And just a note:

Please stick to the topic that this thread is about, the posting of questions taken directly from an exam or copyrighted source.

Any other issues need to go to the appropriate thread or feel free to start another.

Thanks in advance.

I just saw on one of the other forums suggesting that someone use your study methods. What are those study methods? I am in my 4th semester of LPN to Rn program. Any help would be great.

Look in the NCLEX discussion forum. There are lots of good threads and stickies that relate to this.

Good luck!
