Re: pls i nid HELP!!!

Are you a foreign graudate or did you graduate in the US? You might want to specify this so that maybe someone may advise you.

Also are you an LPN or RN?

Good luck

Re: pls i nid HELP!!!

You need to apply to a state for licensure and follow what the applicaiton states for "license by examination." The state then approves your credentials, and if approved they will permit you to sit for the exam after you pay the fee.

But be careful, if you just graduated, and have not taken NCLEX, you are not an RN as you are not licensed yet. You are what is called a Graduate Nurse, or GN.

Re: pls i nid HELP!!!

hi suzanne! thanks for guiding me.
ryt now.. im already a RN here in my country (philippines) - just passed my local board exam last june 2005.
maybe there im a still GN... they said that one way to be a RN in another state (foreign state) i nid to be qualified & passed different foreign exams like nclex, cg, & ielts.

anyway.. so you mean, i nid to inquire & complete first the needed requirements of the state i wish to apply? but i really dont know how will i do that... like for example, if i like to be an RN in NY or some other foreign country/state - how will i know their requirements? is there a website where i could visit?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! YOU'VE BEEN A BIG HELP.
GODBLESS.

Re: pls i nid HELP!!!

Then you are an RN, but could not tell by your other post.

You need to go to the website for the state where you want to work, and look at the reuqirements for the "Application by Examination." You do not need the CGFNS exam, only the IELTS and the NCLEX-RN to work in the US. Plus you need to go thru the Visa Screen process.

As I mentioned in one of your other posts, check out the sticky at the top of the International Forum, all information that you need to know is there. And what you need to do.

Re: pls i nid HELP!!!

Yes, the IELTS has an expiration date, if you do not have everything done by then. NCLEX does not have an expiration date, you just take it once for life.

Visa Screen Certificate is done thru CGFNS. You can go to their website to see the application. www.CGFNS.org. It is not an exam, but an evaluation of all of your credentials for immigration. But I would not worry about that right now.
