Planning to write NCLEX

Hi All. I am a canadian grad and wrote my canadian exam (CRNE) in Feb 2007. I would like to write the NCLEX soon but am unsure of what material to study from. I am also curious as to what the majority of the exam questions are based on med/surg, mental health etc). I have worked Labour and Birth since I graduated so I'm a little nervous. Any info is greatly appreaciated. Thanks

LBRN

Re: Planning to write NCLEX

When I took the exam last week, I had a little bit of everything from peds to immunizations to pathophys., meds, infection control, delegating and prioritizing, select all that apply, OB, diabetes, blood, cancer, STD's, chest tubes. I don't recall any 2 questions with the same topic. I am just glad that I really studied a lot of content because I feel that's what helped me pass.

The first 2 times I took the exam, I pretty much just went over questions and rationales, but obviously that wasn't enough for me to pass.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Re: Planning to write NCLEX

Be aware that you are looking at a few months going through the licensure process before obtaining permission to sit the exam.
