I just wanted to see how everyone else is studying for NCLEX. I've been doing about 100-200 questions just about every day, and I usually select "all categories" on my CD-ROMs when I answer questions. Are you all doing this too? Although today I thought I'd change it a little-so far I went through a 50 question quiz on pedi, and another 50 question quiz on med/surg. I guess my question is this: what do you all think is more helpful: studying one category at a time, or just lots and lots of different topics in a sitting. Or does it matter? Just curious what everyone else thinks is best

You will do the best with an assortment. Med-Surg is actually being stressed on the exams now, with a decrease in many other areas.

Whose CD are you using? Are you paying close attention to how the question is worded, as well as why the correct answer was selelcted, and why the incorrect was considered wrong?

Thanks for the advice Suzanne. I'm using a lot of CDs actually: Lippincott, Mosby, Kaplan, and Saunders (I know you like Saunders the best!).

Yes, I am spending a lot of time reading over the rationales as to why answers are incorrect or correct. That is probably why it takes me FOREVER to go through 200 questions and answers (although I do spread them out somewhat...I can't do them all in one sitting!)
