No pass for the 75 questions cut off

For all of you reply to my previous thread regarding my daughter freaking out after the 75 question cut off, thank you.

But unfortunately is did NOT pass. She was so upset, especially after reading high percentage of pass rate after 75, the last 24 hours she was feeling pretty good and then BOOM. But again she has VERY HIGH ANXIETY taking test. Any suggestions on regrouping???? Thanks for the help!!!

Re: No pass for the 75 questions cut off

Hello! Its ok. Thre's no rule in Nclex that she can't retake the exam. A friend told me of someone who took the exam on her 13th time. So, its ok. Yup, there's a high percentage of passing rate at 75 but it's not always a guarantee. I also freaked out when it happened to me but fate worked on my side and i passed. But even if i passed, i still have other problems like looking for an emloyer or who to finance my visascreen. So, cheer up and get ready to take another seat on NCLEX. I would suggest review Sauders Comprehensive Review 3rd edition. It's a very good tool for NCLEX. God Bless! Hope she'll make it...

Re: No pass for the 75 questions cut off

I am so sorry to hear she did not pass her NCLEX. You mentioned she has high anxiety. I worked w/ a girl that did not pass her boards the first time due to test anxiety. Before she took them the 2nd time, she used hypnosis for her test anxiety. She passed with flying colors. I too had high test anxiety while in school. There were instructors that knew how to write a test question and those that didn't. Tell her not to give up, we need nurses.....this is just a temporary set back....not everyone passes the first time. Good luck to her in the future!

Sorry to hear that, and i wont pretend i wouldnt be devistated, but i did pass at 75, i reviewed saunders and Kaplan 2007,and i was calm during the test,Tell her dont think passing the 1st time is necessary doesnt prove her nomore or less capable as any one who did pass, she just need to practice relaxation techniques I bet that is what got her not her Knowlege. I;ll send out a prayer for her.

Sorry that she didn't pass. Tell her now she knows what to expect so she has a head start on next time. I used Saunders and Kaplan. Tell her to keep working, it will pay off.
