nerves rattled over the HESI

Hi everyone
I am taking the med-surg HESI tomorrow morning at 0800. Other than not being a morning person at all (blah), I am totally lost on how to prepare for this test. It is basically over all of the content we have covered for the past two years-how am I supposed to remember all of this stuff???
I bought one of those HESI books from the bookstore, and I've been using the enclosed testing disc. I haven't done well on the practice tests at all (failed them), and I'm pretty worried about it. I've also bought a few NCLEX books and I've been reviewing content on there. I have Saunders and a few other highly recommended ones and I've been taking the practice tests...but still, not doing well. We get three chances to take it but I don't want it to get that far- I just want to take it tomorrow and be done with it until the next go round. I don't understand why I am not doing well; I've always done well on my nursing final exams and I've never gotten anything less than a B in a nursing course. Does anyone have any helpful tips?

Melissa

Re: nerves rattled over the HESI

Read the HESI hints in the gray boxes. Almost all of HESI's questions are based on them. I wish I could say the same about NCLEX.

Re: nerves rattled over the HESI

I took HESI right before the final. Guess what, I did terrible (only above 7% of overall nursing students nation wild). But, I pass the NCLEX. Do you need to pass HESI in order to graduate? I think you will be fine.
