Need some motivation

It's been 3 months since I last took my NCLEX and failed for the first time. I have been studying here and there but have not been motivated to do so. I'm so bummed, I just don't care anymore. I've been doing other stuffs to keep me busy which I'm enjoying myself, but I've had my friends tell me "what about your NCLEX, you need to take it again?!" I don't know. I guess lately I've been ignoring the fact that I need to study for the NCLEX and I am very terrified to take it again because I'm afraid I will fail for the 2nd time. And I can't go through that again!!!!

Please help I need some positive motivation....

Re: Need some motivation

Read the thread about Anyone up for throwing Facts. Great tips for those of us with wandering minds. I can't seem to sit and study either but those tips and one liners are perfect. Ok, so did you spend $$$$ on nursing school to not try again? Some of the nurses who have been working at my hospital for 10 plus years had to take the NCLEX twice AND our CNS took the NCLEX three times before passing. It is certainly a downer to get your hopes up and then find out you did not pass. Get back in there, the sooner the better. Have you tried a study buddy? Like maybe someone at work ( an RN ) who can help you go over things you may be having trouble with?

Re: Need some motivation

You made it through nursing school alive. I'm sorry that you didnt make it the first time but you'll do great the second time around. Think positive! Do whatever you need to do to help take ur mind off things and when u feel u r ready, get back to studying. I'll be praying for you.
