I have studied - a lot.

I did well in school, and scored very well on the predictor tests.

I vacillate between "I can do this" and "I just woke up and realized I don't know $%#!"

Perhaps this bi-polarity is common pre-NCLEX jitters? I keep feeling like I'll never pass because I lack the complex understanding of every pathophysiology of every disease, and can never remember each and every single manifestation of each and every electrolyte imbalance, and all the conditions, no matter how rare, they are associated with.

I believe I have a decent grasp on the basics/most common and important issues, but that it won't be enough for the monstrosity that is NCLEX.

So, who else freaked out like this, or is currently doing so right now?

I apologize for my neurosis, also. I hope it's permanently over approximately 3-5 days after I test.

I don't know what I'd do without this forum.

I'm in the same exact boat as you in terms of anxiety and preparedness. The only difference is that I am taking mine on Thursday. I am burned out with answering questions and going over rationales. I scheduled a full body massage for tomorrow as part of my relaxation strategy but I'm flirting with thoughts of throwing in 200 more questions in there. Uggh! Maybe I'll just review my notes for tonight and call it in.

Thanks, descartes! I have been doing the same thing...telling myself to relax, then sneaking in more questions. Reaching the point of lunacy, I finally stopped at 1:00 today, and will not be doing any more, except glancing at my lab values and a little sheet of notes before bed.

I'm going to go have sushi with my best friend tonight, try to stay positive and confident, and just go in there tomorrow and do my best.

Step back and take a deep breath.
RELAX tonight. Run a bubble bath and try to get a good nights sleep.
I did not study the night before the exam. I relaxed and had a good sleep. (mind you I was not well which did not help) but I went into the NCLEX to do the best I could and that was my plan.
Nothing more nor less. I achieved my goal.
I wish you a relaxing night with not so many of the jitters come tomorrow.

And I wish the same things for Decartes for Thursday.

Do let us know how you went and what your thoughts about the NCLEX are (as long as they are thoughts you can put into forums LOL)

If you did well in school and you studied hard and the test is tomorrow then all you could have done up to this point is done.

Say to yourself you're gonna go in with the knowledge you have and tackle one question at a time.

Remember the computer is going to consistantly try to keep you at a 50% pass rate. This means no matter how you're doing you may feel like you're bombing but don't give up. One question at a time.

Pace yourself. Take advantage of the breaks. Don't burn out because you want to get to 75.

I can say the same as others. At this point, there is not much else you can do...you all have studied until your eyeballs have fallen out, answered questions until you are crazy as a loon. I also went through that..."I don't know enough..." and yet, I know that I did all that I can do. I stopped studying two days before the test, just peeked at a drug before hand (interestingly enough the very thing I peeked at was on my test), and tried to relax. Best wishes to you both! the day before my test my Daughter went into labor then it stoped and i went to the test site 2 hours away from her. can honestly say i was not concentrating like i should.... I took the test 100 questions and found out the next day that i passed...

i was like that for the whole week. i made sure to not answer any questions the day before and i think it calmed me down. i was more calm that morning than i ever thought i would be. it was hard to sleep though... i only got 3 hours of sleep!

Just chill out and take a depp breathe...it is normal to fell you do not know enough and to leave there feeling like a total idiot...I did and I passed! You have the knowledge if you made it through scholl so try to relax and you will do fabulous! good luck!
