So did you do any review to prepare? Or did you just go and take the test? I really wanted to test as soon as I graduated but, in KY, you have to have 120 hr internship before you can get your ATT. At the hospital where I work, we have to go through a 2 week "classroom orientation" which doesn't count toward the 120 hr internship. Sooo, we actually end up having to work about 5 1/2 wks total(2 wks classroom orientation and then 3 1/2 wks on the floor) before we can get our ATT. I did receive it quickly once the proof of internship completed was faxed to KBN. In fact, I received my ATT that same day via email. Here, we can work with our provisional license until we test. We work under the supervision of an RN preceptor and can do anything an RN can do as long as our preceptor is available to us. We use the title RNA(registered nurse applicant). Anyway, like I said, I really would've liked to have gotten NCLEX out of the way as soon as graduation was over but we're required to do that internship. By the time I finished the internship, I felt like I should take some time to review in case i had already forgotten some of the material....I know it sounds silly. I may go ahead and reschedule for an earlier date, if I can. I'm tired of stressing about it.
