I am scheduled for nclex 6/20/06 and I am so scared. I think most of the people in my class has passed so far and I sure don't want to be the first failure ; I have been studying for around 3 weeks and I am getting 65-79% on Saunders and NCLEX 3000. I got the Kaplan book and got a 72% on the cd and 73% on the book test. I keep asking myself am I ready. I have been praying to God to make me ready and help ease some of the anxiety I am having.
I was going to take NCLEX at first while in orientation but decided against that since I would have to take it at 3pm after being up since 6am. I don't think I would feel fresh for the test. If I wait until August I feel that is too long b/c its nearly 3 months after graduation and I could possible forget alot of things and fall out of the habit of studying. So I will be taking it on 6/20/06 at 9am if I don't chicken out and change it again which is doubtful b/c most dates in AR are full until the first of July.

Good luck! Sounds like you've put a lot of work and thought into studying for the NCLEX and that should definitely count for something when it comes to exam time.

I am feeling really sick right now, but I feel confident. Hopefully I get through the test tomm. and learn I passed on Thurs.

I am right here with you!!!! I take my test on Wednesday (6/21)! I have done soooooo many questions that I think I will go out of my mind. I am having to travel out of state to take my test (live in GA, going to TN...having to go to TN so I would not have to wait until the end of July when appts were avail. in GA to take it!!!!) so I am leaving tomorrow morning.....so after today, no more studying for me!

Hi there!

Good luck on the NCLEX. I know how you feel- I have been an RN for 2 years and took my NCLEX in June after frduation as well. A llot of the question I had were based on "priority" and "what would u do or who would you see first." I had very few med questions, a few questions on TB. I studied and studied from the NCEX practice books, but the actualy test seemed different in a way that I'm sorry I can't describe it. I know your smart and studied plenty. I was just as nervous as you were. Get a good night's sleep, good breakfast, and try to stay calm- always go w/ your first instinct! I know you'll pass- think positive- Best of Luck!

Best of luck to you!!! I am taking NCLEX at 9:00 am today too. I rescheduled from a date in July at 3:00 pm. I never wanted to wait until July and especially never wanted to wait until 3 in the afternoon to take it. When I found there was an earlier date finally available, I jumped at the chance. The hospital where I work puts all new grad nurses through the Kaplan review course. I have been reviewing at home on my own a little at a time. At this point, I'm just drinking a little coffee and trying to stay calm until time to leave for the big event!
