Re: NCLEX results help 226 questions

I may be wrong, but I think if you run out of time the computer looks at the last 50 or 60 questions you took & you must get all of them right...the 50 or 60....to pass the test. Like I said, I may be wrong but it seems like this is what I had learned in my Kaplan course....Hope that helps & GOOD LUCK!!

Re: NCLEX results help 226 questions

Hi Susi,
I took the test yesterday, Aug. 1st, and I had all 265 questions. When I saw I had only 30 minutes left with 30 more questions, I rushed answering everything so I can finish because I had in my mind that if you run out of time you're done. BUT, don't lose hope, I was reading the pamphlet that they gave us at the testing center. It explains there, and I'm quoting it directly from the NCBSN pamphlet:

"When a candidate runs out of time before completing the maximum number of items, the following rule will be applied: the candidate will pass if their ability estimate has remained above the passing standard for the last 60 items. The candidate will fail if their ability estimate was below the passing standard for any of the last 60 items. This does not mean that you have to answer 60 items correctly."

Let's keep our fingers crossed that we passed.

Hi sisu, you know I really worried about my exam but remember your smart and got through school and you can retake the test if you need to its not like its the end of the world and sometimes the docs take their exam twice. Same with lawyers.

God bless. Pray a little.

Re: NCLEX results help 226 questions

Rebmem is right. It's not getting the last sixty correct. Your ability estimate (how the computer thinks you're doing based on every scored question so far) has to stay above passing for all of the last sixty questions.
