Nclex-PN-- what helped you the most?

Well i graduated my LPN program Dec 15, and sent my application for the exam in a week ago and i'm waiting for my ATT right now. I have my NCLEX-PN saunders book and disc but when i sit down to study for it, i'm just not sure HOW! In school i KNEW what to study for, to pass each test, but since this is comprehensive i'm LOST! A few people said to use only the book, others say use only the disc. and i've been trying to use both but dont feel like i'm comprehending everything. I did well in classes, graduated with a B average, and yet i feel like i KNOW NOTHING...sorry to vent i'm just confused and i really dont want to have to take that darn test more than once! lol...thanks for any input!

Tasha,

I think you'll get more responses here in the NCLEX Discussion Forum. Good luck to you!

Re: Nclex-PN-- what helped you the most?

Tasha,

First, congratulations on graduating from the LPN program. That must have been a great accomplishment for you. Secondly, if you enter "NCLEX DISCUSSION FORUM", at the top of the page, there is a sticky called "REVISED FIRST TIP OF SUZANNE'S PLAN".

Suzanne is a moderator here for this website and she has a great review for RN/LPN's. She uses only the Saunder's Book, and since you have it, that's a great start for you. It is your choice however, if you need a comprehensive review or not.

Finally, if you just don't know where to start, I would first, read the beginning of the Saunder's Book. I know in the beginning of the book, they explain what the NCLEX test is, the plan, and they do cover strategies. That will at least give you a start. Then, if you decide to continue and use Suzanne's plan, just follow her first tip. I would put a link to it in this message, but I don't know how.

Hope that helps,

K
