Question? - NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

At my nursing school we took an exit ATI Predictor exam which gives us a percentage of passing the NCLEX -

I'm wondering if anyone else out there who has taken and passed the NCLEX also did the ATI tests and the ATI Predictor?? If so, how did you do and do you feel the ATI tests were comparable in difficulty to the actual NCLEX??

Thanks!

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

I took the ati and received a 97% chance of passing. I passed nclex with 75 questions. Some questions are comparable to ati but the more difficult questions are compareable to Kaplan. We had to buy the virtual ati and i did not like it. I purchased the hurst review and loved it for content review. So many topics she discussed came out on my nclex. I also did kaplan and saunders to practice questions

How did you like the Saunders? That's what I'm using to study and I test this coming Monday, 23rd. ATI is fine, but it doesnt' really give rationales the same way that Saunders does...

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

we did the ati at my school. i got a 74.7 which= 95% chance of passing the 1st time. i don't relly on that though. as a mtter of fact, i emailed my dept head and asked her how reliable/accurate that RN predictor is and she told me its accurate. whatever. we took it april 30th
ive been studying saunders comprehensive (2nd edition), got the kaplan 2007- 2008 nclex rn, and been doin SATA questions off of the nclex 3500 (free web version)

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

I think I had a 96% chance of passing and that was before I had studied. A friend of mine went to another school and in order to graduate they were required to have a 99% chance of passing (and their school has an NCLEX pass rate of 100% - or so she says.) I think its a good tool to use.

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

My school used it and I had a greater than 98% chance of passing, I did in 75 questions. My study group ranged from 95-98 and also all passed.

I thought ATI was great for telling you where you were light, I then used those numbers to target my Saunders/Davis disk for questions.

I took all the ATI content test: Neuro-Muscoskelatal-etc etc etc, got my scores and the lowest ones is where I started my studying.

I personally found Nclex to be most like my Davis disk.

Our school was heavy on ATI, every semester we had to take the ATI tests, and our pass rate for the school is pretty high. We did have two people fail 1st attempt but passed 90 days later. That is out of 48.

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

I got a 78.7 on the predictor which gave me a 98% chance of passing NCLEX. I am doing virtual ATI right now but am somewhat annoyed with it b/c they give you lots of 'busy work' to remediate on which I think wastes a lot of time. I am taking NCLEX on July 1 (eeeek!) and have stopped doing virtual ATI right now and am going back to basics of my notes, Sauders CD questions and Prentice Hall CD questions.

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

I did not like the Virtual ATI. I had a predicted pass rate of 99%. The NCLEX questions were very similar to the VATI, but there were no rationals right there for you to read. If you wanted to find a rationale, you had to find the book that the subject was in...arrrggghhh Anyway, I really liked the Saunders NCLEX review, but I found the questions to be too easy. The content of the book was a great review.
I passed with 75 questions.

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

Hey! My ATI results were around 75= 95% chance of passing....that was before reviewing maternity (got quite a few of those wrong!!). I hope its at least somewhat accurate, but I'd like to know if there were people who scored well on ATI and didn't pass...(or maybe I don't wanna know!!!)

Re: NCLEX Passers - anyone take ATI Predictor??

We were required to take the ATI as an exit exam, and it told me that I had a 98% chance of passing on the first try. I don't really put any worth into that percentage. I would consider myself a B student that really didn't put a heck of a lot of time into studying. In fact I mostly joked that my peers were "super nurses". Now I wish that I would have been on their level because I have to do a lot of catching up with studying content. I've been using Saunders to study and I take my NCLEX-RN in NC on July 21st!!! It's weird because I'm actually excited about taking it...
