Re: NCLEX Certian "%" To Pass?

I was told during school that your goal should be 80% or better consistently on your practice NCLEX questions before sitting for the actual NCLEX.

NCLEX itself is a 51% or better. You need to get more right than wrong.

i also heard that you need to get 80% of the questions right on the test for a passing score. i don't know if that is true.

To clear up any misconceptions that some of you appear to have:

There is no numerical result given when you get your results, only pass or no pass. Nothing more than that.

Now how the exam is done:
It will give you questions based on how you answered the previous ones, and it wants to see where the majority of your correct answers are, at which level of question. Everyone actually gets 50% correct and 50% incorrect. It is only concerned with the level that you are getting them correct at.

Hope that this helps and best of luck on your exam.

ms suzanne i went to kaplan review program 5 months ago but then i had to stop reviewing cos i underwent an operation & im still on the process of rehabilitation right now for my fractured leg, i continued studying at home until now.. im scared t take the test cos i feel IM NOT YET READY cos of the scores im getting from the review Q & A.. i feel like everytime i answer the review test Q & A the longer time i wait the more i forget what i studied before in kaplan my score is not good compared before, i used to get 61% for our virtual test, now when im practising at home i only get 90 correct answers over 180 questions, its a big downfall & im very very anxious! if this thing will continue & when its time for me to take the test im sure i will definitely fail the test! i feel a huge disappointment each time i get half correct & half wrong answers.. i want your honesty this is not good right? im very very forgetful even if i read the concept 3 times! i want your honesty please? i really need help thank you!

Suzanne may not be around for a few days.

Are you looking at the rationale to the questions you get wrong and seeing why you got them wrong?

Her plan is excellent with great results but she is strict with her requirements which is laid out in the sticky 2008 version of Suzanne's plan. Do you have a date already?

Re: NCLEX Certian "%" To Pass?

I recently took the PN exam, and when taking the review questions I to was getting only half right, but I continued to study as I was took about 200 questions a day. And passed my test the second time around. So continue to study as you are, and have faith because if you put it off to long you'll forget things.
