Note: Studying for the NCLEX is hit and miss at best. There are theories and gurus to guide you through to the other side. If you made it through Nursing school that says tons. A test written my middle age disgruntled women who have an axe to grind is in no way indicative of your base knowledge. The test is ambiguous at best, and goes outside the boundaries of the nursing practice. We do not prescribe, we do not write diets, and we are not physical therapists. Should we have broad general knowledge? You bet you, but the NCLEX goes beyond those. That is why I have no respect for them or their threats when it comes to sharing test information. The test is wrong period. The people who write the questions, need to hang it up, they are not teachers. Last but not least ,the states should take a close look at the entire system , pitch it, and start all over again.
