I am in CA and on May 7th, I took the NCLEX-PN. I was under the impression that your name will not appear on the website until after you have recieved your results in the mail and sent in the money for your license. But from reading some posts here, it seems that some found out they had passed by checking the site everyday until the eventually saw their names. So, can someone please tell me which is correct?

CA has two different boards, one for the RN as well as one for the PN license.

The BRN will post names when the license is issued as the license is paid for before one can sit for the NCLEX-RN exam.

In the case of the LVN license, they do not make you pay for the license until you have received the letter that you have passed so there is no way that one would see their name up for the LVN license before they receive the letter in the mail and pay the associated bill for it.

You have to get the results by snail mail, then send the $$$ to the BON in Sacramento. Then your name appears about 2 weeks later in the computer and you receive you license in 3-4 weeks after sending in the money. Or you can drive to Sacramento and pay there and get the license immediately that day, which is what I am doing (if I ever get my results, 27 days and counting...)
