Re: My test stopped at 75

I took my exam on Tuesday morning and stopped at 75 questions, and waiting for my results. Waiting really bites plus I am in CA so you know they take forever hopefully I will know by tomorrow the good news that I was waiting for. Question are all the priority always in bold letters. I too am trying to stay positive.

If I am wrong, I would love to hear from people who failed at 75. The majority of the posters taking the NCLEX and getting to 75 only have passed.

I think the sentence you included "if on the other hand, you fail at 75, that means you've absorbed nothing of nursing school....." is a very negative comment. Perhaps it just means that you have higt test taking anxiety or needed more prepping for the NCLEX exam. It certainly doesn't mean that you spent years in nursing school and are dumb. It would be interesting to know if you polled those that did fail at 75 or failed at any number of questions and see what they think about this comment.

Just a thought.

Re: My test stopped at 75

Look, I'm sorry I caused so much turmoil. Yes, test anxiety is possible for some of those that may fail at 75 (again, I haven't seen anyone say that they failed at 75!). I believe, and again this is my feeling, that those taking the test and it stops at 75 have a far greater chance at passing than failing.

For those of you with test anxiety, I humbly apologize.

And no, I have not taken it yet. While I do have some anxiety at test times, I've been lucky enough where it doesn't effect my actual test taking.

Again, I'm sorry.

Thumbs up Re: My test stopped at 75

First of all, I would like to congrats those of you that passed your Boards. Those who did not pass just keep on truckin, keep your head up and your spirits high and don't feel discouraged.

Just about two weeks ago a couple of friends of mine had taken thier tests, one of them got to 75 when it cut off and the other went all the way to 260 questions before cut off. They both felt awful after the test and cried for a day or two. But guess what? they both passed. Lets not let the number of questions we get, get us down. We all work hard at this I am sure or we would not be here, or have made it through the program because we all know that was not easy.
