Min practice score to pass

Does anyone know what the percentage of passing on your practice exams would warrant passing the NCLEX-RN?
I heard that a min of 65% is okay and then someone else said that you need at least a 75% on your practice exams to pass????
Anyone know?

Talking Re: Min practice score to pass

Mrod,
Are you referring to the passing score for Kaplan? I did the Kaplan Q bank and question trainer and maintained scores between 58-65%. I took my boards on May 22 and passed. I think the key is to "review" the material that you "learned' in school, basically lab values and I also concentrated on the endocrine system because I had to refresh my memory about the difference between Cushings and Addisons. I remember how nervous I was for at least a week before the test. So be confident that you "know" the material and remember to breathe!!!! Good Luck!

Re: Min practice score to pass

I have been doing the questions in the Saunders, Davis, Lippincott, NCLEX Alternative Question, Prioritizing and Delegation books and also the Saunders, Davis, Lippincott and NCLEX-RN 300 CD's and getting between 80% and 90% with Saunders, Lippincott and Davis and between 70% and 80% with NCLEX-RN 3000. I thought is was much higher than 65% so that makes me feel good
Thanks!
