Re: May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

..i plan to buy that kaplan qbank, i hear its 300 bucks for 1100 questions. so i test on may 7th -sooo i want to do about 100 questions per day so ill buy it about 12 days before i test, so i can rest/ not study on that last day.-i do other questions from saunders. lipincott etc..but they seem way to easy , compared to the nclex, kaplan is more like that.

i used to study for hours a day, do like 200-300 questions per day--i got really burned out my 1st and 2nd time, now-im pacing myself-i study but not as intensly, i do more "fun" stuff for myself and with my son.-i realize that i dont need to do X amount of questions per day, (although NCLEX ppl say a person should do at leat 5000-10000 questions before the test)..I know im WAAAYY above that.

Re: May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

what materials are you using to study for INFECTION CONTROL? I only have saunders 3rd ed, and it seems limited...

by the way, i came up with this acronym to remember the diseases under DROPLET PRECAUTION. just think of SPIDERMAn!

S - sepsis
S - scarlet fever
S - streptococcal pharyngitis
P - pertussis
P - parvovirus B19
P - pneumonia
I - influenza
D - diphtheria (pharyngeal)
E - epiglottitis
R - rubella
M - mumps
M - meningitis
M - meningeal or mycoplasma pneumonia
An - adenovirus

Private room or cohort
Mask - caregiver
Mask - on the poatient when he leaves the room, only if necessary
