im taking this weekend off studying, my brain is "full"..i bought that fryes bullet book--my wife has been telling me to get it, she used an older one and thats all she studied for her boards 8 years ago, (but shes a nursing brainiac)...so far its good--i highlight facts that i didnt know, so i can go over it again-prior to my tes--im about 1/3 way done (again) with the saunders book and next week ill buy the kaplan Qbank

You can count me in , I hope to take the test in late May or June. Im going to buy the Saunders book tomorrow any other suggestion that is helpful and I was told that it take 45 days to complete, so does that mean 1-2hrs or more a day of studing?

Hi everyone. I was originally going to take the NCLEX-PN in April but rescheduled to May 10th. I was not nearly done with my study plan. First time taking the test.

I am doing Saunders and reviewing the content as well as doing the questions first. I just have pediatrics left and mental health and the 500 pharm questions.

I also work full time 12 hr shifts so can't do any Q's when I get home. I just spend a little time with the family and then go to bed

Vent:

Right now I'm on question trainer 4 out of 7....I'm to the point where I'm not even answering them, I'm guessing just to get through it. I suppose the notes I'm taking is what's making this so time consuming. I'm taking notes based on things I never even heard of, which is alot.

Question: To those of you who took the kaplan, did you read the whole book(I read half) AND got through all the videos(lectures)/question review, ALL of it in time? Any feedback is appreciated.

Re: May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

Hey Jax Girl thanx!

Do you think the kaplan nclex question book(s) are just as good as the online trainers/qbank? Are they similar in difficulty? Because for me, the qbank/trainer questions are very difficult and I think those kinds of q's are good to learn from in addition to the questions that are moderate in difficulty which I have found Saunders q's to be(haven't done any of the new 4th edition questions from Saunders yet, I'm saying from what I remember from the older edition.) I don't have any newer versions of kaplan just 2003/04 which I'm not going to even use since they're outdated.
