Re: Kaplan

Well, I am not really the right person to give you advice about Kaplan. I took Kaplan review, did all the Question Trainers and Q-banks, but still didn't pass. Honestly, I found Kaplan to be harder than NCLEX. I guess, if you follow it religiously you'll do okay. It wasn't for me, because I had a different study technique. I took my second one last week and I passed....this time I followed Suzanne's plan. I combined it with NCSBN which was very much like NCLEX. I passed with 75 questions vs. failed with 265 using Kaplan.Don't get me wrong, there are many people who passed with Kaplan. I think the bottom line is your readiness and confidence. If you don't feel that you're ready, you can always reschedule your test date. That was my mistake in August. I hurried up in taking it. My advice to you is to do at least 100 NCLEX questions everyday -- study the rationales. Kaplan has good rationales, I give them credit for that. Good luck.

Hi matchbox2019! I agree with rebmem that kaplan questions is actually more difficult than the actual nclex and many here has passed using kaplan materials, some didn't but passed thru Suzannes plan or ncsbn or combination of other reveiw materials. Hmmm, maybe bottomline is readiness & prayers. Its normal to get nervous or panic but set limitation. I may sound weird & silly but i was tellling myself that time "Hey, its normal to get nervous and panic but its exam day now, so thats enough, deep breath and answer wisely, don't rush yourself because each question counts"

And yessss , me I answered that sample questions on nclex, run will start from that time but it is good if you answer those sample questions as warm up. Take care & God Bless you! Goodluck to you matchbox.
