Re: just venting

Practicing the questions even though you're getting low scores is still training your brain to think about the questions.

That's almost as important as getting the questions right as you will not get those questions on NCLEX, but you will be tested in that style.

Sounds like you're getting frustrated and would rather get it over with than prolong the agony. What you need to do is explore what is best for you.

If you abolutely cannot study anymore, and I mean productive study and practice questions, not just going through the motions then my opinion would be to go ahead and take it. Reason being if you're not going to for whatever reason(anxious?) really study then you're losing that wealth of knowledge you just got from school and not reinforcing it. It goes quick.

On the other hand if you think you can study, ignore the test scores on Kaplan and concentrate on dissecting those questions and adding some form of knowledge based review into the mix for no more than two or three months I would suggest that route.

No matter which way you go when it's test time you can't give up. You have to be able to look at the question, eliminate the wrong answers, not just pick what you consider the right answer.

So take a deep breath, relax and explore your feelings. Do what's right for you.

Good luck.
