Just took my Nclex...

Whew! That thing was a riot. I felt like I walked in there with no clue at all. I don't know if it's a bad thing or not but I went all the way up to 187 questions then it stopped. I heard from most of my classmates who took it a few days ago and their's stopped between 85-95. Did I fail? I sure feel that I did and I just can't think straight since taking the test. I'm just a wreck!!

Re: Just took my Nclex...

The number of quesitons has absolutely no bearing on how you did? The type of questions is more important.

Just go and take some time for yourself now.............

Re: Just took my Nclex...

As Suzanne said, the number of questions has no bearings on whether you passed or not. It's the level at which you were consistently getting 50% correct. Keep in mind that you will get 50% wrong on the test. It's the nature of CAT (computer adaptive testing). Or should I say beast?

People can get the least amount of questions on the NCLEX-RN and fail (75), or get the most questions (265) and pass. There is a thread at the top of the forum, in a "sticky" explaining the NCLEX grading system. If you can read that, it might help you understand the grading better.

Good luck to you!

OK, the sticky I was talking about is entitled something like "NCLEX number of questions - clarifications ALL STUDENTS PLEASE READ." It's something like that and I believe it's the second one from the top of the page.

Hope this helps.
