just checking in to see how everyone is doing!

How are you?!

It's been a while since I was here. but I was just wondering how everyone is doing.
what is everyone studying?
are you nervous?
what's going on?!

well, I passed in nov. and I am doing well. I have 4 more shifts with my preceptor then I am on my own in a peds surgical floor.
Night shift is awesome, I will never go back to dayshift again.

Did I mention that I love my job?

oh yeah, I send a whole bunch of you guys my personal notes from kaplan, and I mistakenly erased them , I will ask a friend of mine to send them to me...

but I was wondering if they helped anyone? or if anyone read them before taking the test? if it helped?

To me, my notes helped me, but then again, I wrote them. I always do good when I write my own notes.... even in school... my notes to me are always helpful.

but just wondering how everyone is.

thanks for the updates!

Hello,
Im pretty sure you know how we are all feeling since you once were in our place. I have taken NCLEX twice, failed the first time which was not a surprise becasue i was not ready at all, and now waiting for my second results. Its been three weeks now so imagine how i am feeling. Not good whatso ever. I studied kaplan and did saunders book 3rd edition. I am currently trying to do suzannes plan and waiting for her second tip becaue i m convinced that i have failed. Y is it taking so long to get my result. By the way i live in Ca. If you can send your notes it would be wonderful. Anything will help at this time. Anything that will better prepare us for this exam would be great.
Thank you so much.

congrats!!
I never thought I was a night person until I started working nights myself. And it's awesome. It's quiet, slow and by 6am if you get admissions you will get busy. So on down time I have report ready for the day nurse.

I don't have my notes anymore. I erased them by mistake, I had saved them on my yahoo email.
But buy the kaplan strategy book.... that is an awesome book.

Honest, to me Saunder's book is way too big. It is helpful to a lot of people I hear, but I do not have the drive to read 1k + pages with info and questions... it's too detailed. So for review I would do HESI book. It's $59 but very worth it.
