Found out today that I failed the nclex. I feel like such a loser, Don't even know if I want to take it a 2nd time. Any suggestions on study tools like the Kaplan class.

Sorry to hear that you failed, but din't give up. You have worked way too hard to let 1 test get in your way. I took and passed the NCLEX 3 weeks ago and I took Kaplan and did the online qbank. The class and qbank are a great prep for the test. Please don't give up, you can do it, you wil pass!!! Best of luck!!

Hang in there. Of course you feel down, but I know some fantastic nurses who passed on the 2nd try. Test anxiety. Take a day off to "mourn". Then prepare to study again. We care!

I'm sorry. Don't give up! There are plenty of good nurses who didn't make it the first time, and no one would ever know. Never believe you are a loser, you made it through college, and that, is a huge accomplishment! If you are not currently working as a nurse intern, get a job at a hospital working a medical floor. I find that experience is helpful when taking the NCLEX.

Did you take any prep courses? I am doing Kaplan and find it helpful.
Hope you don't give up. As others have said, you've worked hard to get to this point. We can do this!

Thank you for your words of encouragement, they meant a lot. No I did not take any prep course, I just used the kaplan book and I have a disk with 3000 questions. I am thinking about taking the kaplan class.
Anyone have any suggestions?

the kaplan class will be a session with a teacher going thru questions (tons of them!) and then rationales. it's a classroom setting as opposed to online. you can bring up specific questions or get more individualized help. if you get a good instructor, that's a big plus, as i did. also, networking with other students is an advantage. this would simply be another means of learning that you haven't tried yet. sometimes a live teacher with experience in teaching this course provides that reassurance that may help you tip the scale in passing. we were given many tips and information about how to do well in the test. of course, we also had homework and were expected to put in hours of studying. it's not for everyone but i think i benefited from it. the true test will be after i take it! best of luck to you--it's great that we have options on how we can study! you're that far away from being a winner.

I am doing the sticky Suzanne plan at the top of the thread. New and revised tip. I will be taking it a third time and still being positive you have to acheive what you have worked so hard for just have faith in yourself. I have heard alot of people that have passed with her plan.

dude dont feel bad. my wife was going to take the nclex but was denied. I would rather have her failed the nclex than not trying. At least you got the feel of it and can plan ahead. Think positive.

It's hard to be postive when you fell on 75 questions, that means I did horrible. But I am listening, I think I am going to myself this week off and go full force starting Monday.
When scheduling the repeat test do you have to get another ATT?
