How to study a second time around using kaplan again

Can anyone give me advice on studying a second time using the kaplan online review course. I know that it has a money back guarantee, but the course book and online questions is very help. I also have a sauders 3rd edition NCLEX review but that's a lot of information. Sometimes it confuses me with information that is useless.

Can anyone give me different strategies to studying the NCLEX for a second time. Thanks guys in advance.
I need help, I'm going crazy

If you want to use Kaplan again, I would definitely just keep practicing their questions either from the Q-bank, and/or the Question Trainers. Those are really good for practicing critical thinking type questions. How I studied was using both Saunders and Kaplan. Saunders helped me in reviewing nursing content...and yes...I did read the WHOLE book to remember content . If you want to just stick to Kaplan you can, but I would recommend using Saunders if you are weak in certain areas and reviewing. Good luck!

Study the question trainers, they are very good, and close to the real exam.

Definitely practice a lot of questions. Thats the only strategy I can think of now. As long as you practice a lot of questions, you'll know how to answer them

Re: How to study a second time around using kaplan again

Im in agreement with the above posters. I failed my first try. Took a couple days off. The second time I sat for hours and hours just doing questions. When I wasn't doing the Kaplan Questions--I would do the chapters in my Saunders Comprehensive and make sure I could answer the questions at the ends.

But I really needed to work on my nerves. I read the question. I put the answers into true/false so I could at least narrow it down to 1 or 2 if I didn't know the actual answer. And then I would go back and read the question to make sure I was understanding. Im a great one for adding info that isn't there.

Best wishes to you. This is just a bump in the road. You will get past it!

Re: How to study a second time around using kaplan again

I am a second timer and I am currently using Kaplan to study the strategies....I know I failed the first time, due to anxiety and more than likely not knowing how to answer the exam style questions....I was at the level of passing when I got my results back and of course you need to be above the level to pass....so what does that tell me.....I "ALMOST" passed, but of course almost ISN'T passing....so I am using the Kaplan book along with Qbank and so far I am doing a better job at narrowing down the answers....At first I just used Saunders and Saunders is great to reveiw your content, things u learned in school.....I am comfortable with my content, so I am not using Saunders along with Kaplan only because Kaplan is more like the NCLEX and Saunders questions are more like questions you would have in school and I surely don't wanna get confused, as I easily can do...hahahhaa....Good Luck to you!
