hi im from california, and i just took the RN exam 3 days ago. the computer stop around 250+ question which are mostly prioritization and select all that apply.. part of me hope that i passed but i cant never be sure if i really did.. and im freakin out becuase i didnt find my name on the web. i jst wanna know if there still any possible way that i passed the exam or did i fail it becuase it doesnt appear on the web?i am soo anxious that i didnt make it this is my second time taking it and im so disappointed of myself thinking that i didnt passed..

Yes, it's true you may be in for a long wait. There is no way to tell if you passed by number of questions. I passed with 265 and I waited 4 weeks for my name to appear on the BRN website. Mine took so long because my transcripts were sent out late. You can check for your name every morning 6am Tuesday thru Saturday. Good luck! I hope you don't have to wait that long.

i know.. and im getting more nervous everyday..i cant sleep thinking of it.. i bet some of you guys feel the same way too.. thanks for the luck...for the meantime aside from waiting praying is the only way i can do... still hoping that i passed..

Hi everyone,

I wrote my exam last april 7, 2008. Is there anyone wrote NCLEX-RN California BON. A friend of mine is torturing me. She told me that 2-3 days if my name is not on list of verification license CA BON website then she's sure I don't pass. Pls. anyone out there. pls help if u know anything about result or anyone wrote it the same I did pls. let me know. Thank u and God bless.

we had exactly the same problem.. my sister told me that it usually takes them 2-3 days to post ur name on the web if u really passed. and if u dont then the chance is that u didnt passed and im sooo paranoid coz it has been three days now.. does this mean i official fail?

Everyone slow down and take a deep breath. Average wait time for CA testers is about ten days to see your name on their website for the BRN.
We have seen a few get their names up in two to three days but that is not the norm.

Remember tha CA will permit you to test before they have received your transcripts. They are unable to release your result or assign a license number until your file in completed.

If you do not see your name on the website after two weeks and then contact them to check about your file but I would not do it any earlier than that.

Thank you so much!!! I appreciate your reply. IF I may ask you another question? All my transcripts are all in because this is my second time to take the NCLEX. Do I still have to wait for 10 days or it means that I failed? Thank you again and have a wonderful weekend...

It can still be up to a month for what ever reason to find out that you have passed. CA does things differently, when your results come in they are placed in your file, and literally a paper file. Then the file goes to someone's desk to be reviewed and they check to see that everything is there once again. Then and only then, if you have passed is a license number issued to you.

Just because transcripts are in does not mean that there was not something else that they are waiting for or looking at.

If you do not hear anything in two weeks, that is when you should contact them.
