How long did you wait?

I recieved my ATT yesterday for the Nclex PN. I decided to wait and take the test in 4 weeks. I wanted to review with Saunders and Davis before taking the exam. My question is, is this a bad decision on my part? I am very nervous about the exam and I wanted to be a little more prepared. I just graduated this month. How many of you waited to take the exam or did most of you take it right away.

Re: How long did you wait?

depends on you. i'm taking my rn exam 2 days after the ATT. 4 weeks will give you a lot of time to review, and not much time for forget. seems reasonable.

Trauma-
How much time did you study? What exactly did you study? Or how many questions were you doing per day?

Thanks
Tooty

Re: How long did you wait?

well, i just finished excelsior college's requirements about 2 1/2 weeks ago (the cpne), and i took the nclex cat that mosby has, which says i've got a 99% chance of passing the nclex... so i'm not taking it all that seriously, which is why i jumped on a test available the second day i could possibly take it. i was lucky that someone else cancelled, and i'm driving a hundred miles to take it, roughly.

i've been studying about a week now, of and on. tonight, i'm jamming through about 500 to 600 questions, spending about 20 secs per q. that's a lot of questions over a week.

i've got lousy habits as far as being a student, so i'm not a person you'd want to emulate. they way i do it doesn't work for most people. i tend to cram fanatically.

i did get the saunders disk, but i'm finding it runs slow on my system for some reason. so i'm primarily using springhouses nclex 3000.

really, after the cpne, the nclex is *nothing*

Nclex Pn

To those of you who have past the Nclex PN, how long did you wait before taking your exam and what books did you study? A friend of mine just passed her boards and she said that it was unlike anything she has ever taken. Most of her questions dealt with teaching about different drugs. She said she had never even heard of the drugs before and that she had to guess at all of them. Mind you she passed so she did a good job guessing.

I am just so nervous and I really want to be prepared any advice is appreciated!
