How about you?

I have less than a week before I take my NCLEX and I have been using Saunder's 4th edition exclusively. What kind of scores were you getting on the CD? Did you pass the NCLEX with your scores? I'm getting down to the wire, and I'm starting to feel excited. Also, I'm having a lot of trouble with medications. What are some study methods you guys used?

Re: How about you?

Hi pitbullcm,

I used Saunders primarily. I mostly did my questions in study mode so I don't what my scores were. The few times I took it in exam mode i think I averaged around 64%, but I passed Nclex.

Re: How about you?

I used RN 3500. I read the Saunders book front to back and after each section I did the the questions. But that was over a 4 mth span of time.

Re: How about you?

i used Saunders and Kaplan, I averaged about 60-70's. Asfor the medications a person in another thread suggested while your looking at T.v write down some of the meds( side effects etc)I think that would help and also try grouping them in cateogries

Re: How about you?

I started with the Saunders (my study group also used Saunders and a few other books throughout the two years of our program) and then switched to Kaplan's program which I did for about a week. I liked Kaplan and felt like the Questions were a lot like the NCLEX.

My scores in Saunders book ranged from 65 to 100 (on OB/Maternity/newborn which is where I want to go so I had an advantage there). Most scores were in the upper 70's to 80's. Same with the CDs (70-80)

My Kaplan scores were in the 60's. It was frustrating for me to get 60's over and over even though I knew those were decent scores for Kaplan.

I passed the NCLEX in 75

Re: How about you?

I do 100 questions per day, and I've been getting high 70's to mid 80's everyday. I just hope that this is enough along with my reviewing! I have dreams every night that I pass, I'll find out soon enough though. Thanks for everyone's replies.
