They Dont Do An Actual Review Just Questions And I Wanted Both A Review And Practice Questions

I Signed Up For Feuer Nusing Review Instead It Begins This Saturday

Please Guys Help Me I Feel Like I Am Still In Shock From Nursing School

How Do I Even Prepare To Pass The State Boards When It Is Sooo Difficult

Check out the NCLEX forum I am sure there will be plenty of suggestions which will help. All I can say is there are a couple of good books and do plenty of questions what are on the CD's

My first suggestion would be to tell you to take a deep breath and relax. Try not to worry so much about it. It seems you are taking all the study courses and will do fine. I personally just bought an NCLEX review guide and studied from it while watching TV etc. I didn't let it consume me and I just tried to relax until the time came and I did fine. I am sure you will too! Best of luck!!! Oh... NCLEX is the same nationwide if i am not mistaken... so it's no different in NY than everywhere else. Have a glass of wine, chill and don't think about it Celebrate when it's over!!!!

just curious though, did u buy a big review book and if not what review book do u recommend.

also how do i sudy pharmacology- i am having a hard time with that part the most. any suggestions

I don't remember what books I bought but if you go to Barnes and Noble or any bigger book store they have lots of them and you can browse the books and pick one... or two Those study books have pharmacology questions throughout the different sections. I also bought a tiny book that was called bullets or something like that. I would keep it in my car and read it while at stop lights and take with me when I went anywhere that I could read it. It was just little one or two line sentences of "pearls" that was easy reading ... just little reminders so to speak. Anyway... go to the bookstore... Maybe one was a Saunders book, I am not sure Best of luck!!!

I learned the hard way too that those review classes that cost us a boat load of money are really not nessesary...

Anyway, I went to the NCLEX web site and looked at the test plan. I used saunders and went through the different parts of the test plan using the CD. If you have it go under client needs and that is the test plan. I studied for a couple of weeks doing about 50-100 questions a day if that. The test is A LOT easier than it is made out to be. I passed with 75 questions.

I am currently using Sanders NCLEX review. I also have Lippincott 3500 NCLEX cd. I used that to review maternity, peds, and psych. I also took Kaplan (and was very disappointed with the class). I completely read the 500 page Kaplan book that came with the course. Now I am reviewing each system in the Sanders as a final review. I am, however, answering the Kaplan online questions since I paid for them. My final review is going to be pharm at the back of each chapter in Saunders since I am weak in that subject. That is going to be it for me. The practice questions help the most because that is reviewing.

I used Helen Feuer for my NCLEX last year...didn't sit in class, but purchased their books and CDs for both, NCLEX review and pharmacology. It was great for me. They have wonderful speakers and they made it fun and interesting. Good luck. I don't think you'll be disappointed. They didn't do too many questions, but they had cute jingles and expressions to help you remember. Good luck!
