help with a certain style of question for nclex

Without breaking the rules, I didn't want to be too exact here.

I am unsure on the questions that are about discharging or moving a patient out of a department such as an ER, ICU..... Is there somewhere where I can read up on this style of question? What are some criteria to look for in the answers to determine which patient is better suited to have discharged or moved so that you can bring in another patient?

Re: help with a certain style of question for nclex

The patient that is the more stable one of the group is the one that can get transferred out of the ICU, provided that they do not have any requirements that would make them need to stay where there is a higher acuity.

Majority of ER patients get discharged to home, and this is done by the provider in the ER; whether nurse practitioner, physician's asst, or physician.

There are some books out there that review priority-type questions, you will just have to check out the bookstore near you to see what is currently in stock. Not one specifically that I would recommend.
