Getting NCLEX Questions Identical to Studied Questions ????

I'm just wondering......
When "you" were taking the NCLEX.....did you -- or how often did you ---get questions that were exactly the same as questions you studied from while preparing to take the NCLEX ??
If you did....what source did you see the most questions from (Saunders, Kaplan, NCSBN ???).

Thanx

I didn't see any questions that were exactly the same. And there was only about 2 that seemed similar. And those were from either Kaplan or Saunders (those were what I used). Jen

Re: Getting NCLEX Questions Identical to Studied Questions ????

There was nothing identical, at least not that I could recall after doing thousands of questions. There were a fair amount that were similar enough to Kaplan that I was glad I used that as a resource; I didn't find the Saunders questions nearly as deep as the test questions seemed to be. That said, I wouldn't ignore Saunders: I think it's great for content review, just not for mimicking the experience of the NCLEX as closely as possible. But that was my experience.

I had one question that was pretty much identical to one I studied in Saunders, I was so happy, wish they were all like that hehe.

I had a couple that were pretty dang close to what I had studied, though I don't know if they were exactly the same. I used Saunders and Lippincot to prepare, and I think Lippincot is closer to the NCLEX in the difficulty of the questions.

You found Lippincott closer to the difficulty of questions in NCLEX than Saunders? Wow, I found those to be easier than Saunders, and I didn't think THEY were enough like it, lol.....Kaplan looked like the same test bank, to me. Go figure.

I did not get any.....but Kaplan Trainer CD was most like the actual questions in difficulty & wording. I used Saunders & Kaplan.

Several select all that apply questions were very close to the examples in Lippincott's 250 alternate items book. Can't really be more specific without breaching my confiidentiality agreement but I think everyone needs this book. These questions are also in the newest Lippincott. Good luck.

Re: Getting NCLEX Questions Identical to Studied Questions ????

Hi, I have to tell you I studied Saunders (2006,loved it) and Kaplan (2006) and Mosbys (2006), and Davis (2006) and Delmar (2007) Nclex Prep/Readiness Books and NONE, repeat NONE of the 75 questions I got on my exam were identical. For as much as I studied and the fact that I was in the top of my class, I would have thought that I would Know that I passed but I took my boards today and I am unsure if I passed. I have looked up the questions I remember but that is just driving me more crazy. If it wasn't so terribly hot outside here I would just play Basketball or frisby to get my mind off of it. I tried a hotbath, a glass of red wne, petting my sweet dog, yelling at my husband and chewing my nails and nothing has helped so far. YYYYUUUUCCCCKKKKK. I hate the wait!!!!! I wish you the best of luck and god's grace though in your exam.
