Freaking out!!

Hello everyone. This is my first time on this discussion board. I think it's a great way to help others out and vent. I need some big time words of encouragement. I just took my NCLEX, the second time. The first time I took it I had 265 questions and this time I only had 88 questions. I am sooooo scared I might not have passed because I only had a hand full of priority questions, and I'm not quite sure if I got the last question right. Not to mention there were numerous isolation precaution questions, which I'm sure the reason why was due to me getting them wrong. I'm scared. I studied sooo hard for 3 months. I took Kaplan. I took thousands of questions including the Mosby's CAT of which my scores were no lower than an 82%, mostly in the upper 90s. I did everything possible to study. My question to you is what happens if I dont pass again. I will be sooo devastated and what more could I do. I'm crying and my heart is breaking not knowing what the outcome is. I pray that all will be well and I pass. Thank you all for your time.

Don't worry. You passed. Hang in there.

I appreciate your confidence and support for me. How did you manage to relax before knowing your results?

Re: Freaking out!!

I know the feeling that you are going through. I just took the PN boards this week and I just got my results yesterday. I made myself sick waiting for the results because I just knew I failed. After the torturous wait, i found out that I passed. Just hang in there, and have confidence in yourself. go rent some movies. I at night I used tylenol PM to help me sleep. I still dreamed of all the NCLEX questions, though. Everyone says not to worry, but you still will. Try to keep busy. If you need to talk to someone who knows what you are going through, PM ME.

Re: Freaking out!!

congratulations!!! i'm so proud of you. first off i want to say to you and to everyone on this web site that everyone is sooo nice and sooo helpful, my gosh!! thanks. so if i may ask, after you took the test did you just have a feeling or thought that you didn't pass? or were you just freaking out? i totally understand when you said that questions would still pop into your head. i'm still hoping for the best but preparing myself for the worst. i haven't been able to eat really. maybe some bread and water for the day nothing big. it's always on your mind. this test is insane.

Re: Freaking out!!

I am from Hawaii and just took the exam this past Friday. Unfortunately, when you take it on a Friday the results sent to you take longer. I am also very worried as well. I can't fall asleep at night just thinking about the exam. No one is ever really prepared for this exam. I do appreciate and enjoy reading all of your responses and support for others. Mahalo!

I was too scared to look up my result & got DH to do it, then wished I hadn't because I got a running commentary about his progress through the internet pages & he used an expletive & I nearly died because I thought he'd seen I'd failed but actaully he'd just pressed a wrong button!!

Re: Freaking out!!

For me, I knew I answered the last two questions wrong and then it shut off. It stopped at 75 but it worries me. This is the worst feeling ever!
