Do I need more questions?

Hello all! I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX-RN on Jan 15. During nursing school...I had to do 150 NCLEX questions every week. Do you all think I should still be doing questions to prepare for the test...or should I just be studying? It's difficult to find time for both. I have a 1 1/2 yr old and studying time is extremely hard to come by.

I also have to say that sometimes I feel like I'm sooooo stupid and cannot remember hardly anthing from school. Is this normal? I look at a particular topic and draw a complete blank on the information. Sometimes I get all worked up about how I'm going to fail the test and I start freaking out...but then I have to talk myself out of it. There is so much riding on this test.

Thanks so much for your input!
Debbie

Re: Do I need more questions?

keep on practicing questions and read its rationale. I too experienced not remembering stuff. I hardly remember names! Makes me feel bad really cuz it is like early dementia of some sort. Sigh. I think it is the anxiety that is working. I have 2 kids to look after as well, the pressure is too much, but try to get a little time only to study. half an hour to 2 hrs a day devoted only to studying will help. you dont need to memorize. Just understand. remember, we are humans and not robots or computers. believe in yerself. Best of luck and God bless.

Re: Do I need more questions?

I have three kids and what I did, was get on my laptop at night when I would go to bed and do at least 100 NCLEX questions for 4 weeks without fail. If I thought I wouldn't be able to do it one night, I doubled up the night before or the night after. You have to be religious about it though. I did Kaplan question bank the whole time and then attended the class. I passed with no problem. Good luck!
