Did I pass the NCLEX?

I took the NCLEX exam today and it was terrible. Everytime I would read a question I would think, that is a no brainer, this is what needs to happen. Without fail, the answer I wanted was never there . It was terrible. I graduated with 4.0 and I don't think I passed it. There were many things on there I've never even heard of. I know they are looking for a basic level of competency but what is that level? I didn't get any "basic" questions, I felt like they were all hard but the same hard. I didn't feel like they fluctuated in difficulty like I expected them to. I had 75 questions, do you think that is a good thing or that I just failed really badly. So worried. Please somebody help!!!!!!!

Re: Did I pass the NCLEX?

I would fathom you passed just based on how difficult you found the questions. If I were getting tested on a bunch easy peasy questions I would be more worried.

Think positive!

I agree. It is said that the more difficult the questions the higher the chances are that you are passing.

Good Luck and I bet you passed:hatparty:

It is a positive sign if your questions continued to become harder.

If you're continually getting them wrong, the questions would have progressively gotten easier. Good luck!

Ditto for me. I took it today and got 75 questions. I could not recognize a definiteve pattern of getting harder. The answer I wanted and could predict would be the answer was not among the choices! I got AT LEAST 5 "pick all that apply, 0 math (and I like math problems), maybe 8 - 10 priority, and a LOT of pathophysiology of obscure disease processes. If I wouldn't have studied with Saunders I wouldn't even had a clue what 2 of the diseases were. I would say I was VERY CONFIDENT about having the right answer on only 5 questions The rest of them I really had to think about. Please somebody help us both

Re: Did I pass the NCLEX?

I also took it today, got 75 questions, and am not sure how I did. Some did seem harder than others, but about the same the whole time. I got a lot of priority and at least 5 of the "pick all that apply" questions. I didn't get any math problems, either. I was very confident about some of my answers, but not so much about others. Wouldn't you have to be failing pretty badly for it just to shut off at 75??

Re: Did I pass the NCLEX?

I would think, but let's just be honest. How many time in nursing school did you feel like what you were picking was the right answer and then it wasn't. I wonder how many people actually fail at 75. That seems pretty quick to make a determination. Seems like if they got easier and easier they'd be like what are the normal vital sign type questions to fail at 75! Hope so anyway. Anyone out there with any experience that failed at 75, insight could help. I didn't get any math problems either.

I would have to think we did AWFULLY bad to fail at 75 questions. The test left me wanting more questions. I did not study for the HESI (was told just to use it as a learning tool) and did pretty well with a 1048. I remain hopeful, but anxious nonetheless

Re: Did I pass the NCLEX?

Hi
I know how you feel because when I took NCLEX I felt same way.But I passed.I couldn't identify which quesiton is hard or easy.It makes me so nervous.Of course, there is no quesution I can answer easily. But it's not hard question as I expected.
I hope that you can make it and I'm praying for you.
