DEEPEST Empathy for Repeat Test Takers

I want you all to know that my heart is literally bleeding for those that have to repeat such a horrendous experience. I'm not sure if school truly prepares you for the exam, and although I did pass NCLEX-PN,I left the exam bewildered, shocked, and felt that I wasted a great deal of time studying for things that did not appear on the exam.

I had NOTHING on diabetes, insulin, heart failure, endocrine disorders, ONE peds question, NOTHING for OB, had some meds that I had never heard of, (and couldn't find in my drug books)...all of the things they drilled into my head...nothing!!

I remember looking at some of those answers and said to myself "I will choose this one, because I would NEVER do this in the real world...or because this is so INSANE, that this MUST be the answer that NCLEX wants"...no rhyme or reason. Not all of them, but when it got crazy. I came home and cried, and didn't know what to think. For a person to have to face that demon a second time or more MUST be trying.

My heartfelt prayers go to you all as you re-enter the journey and wish you all success the next time you sit for your boards.
