I took the NCLEX-PN on June 6th in California and I still haven't heard anything! When I left the testing center, I was told it would be 2-4 weeks. Since it's not unusual for things to get lost in the mail in my neighborhood, I'm wondering if I should call the Board this week to check on my status.

For those of you who have recently taken the NCLEX-PN in CA, how long did you have to wait for your results?

Average wait time is three weeks, however, there has been a larger increase in the number of students that have tested at this time of year, so things are always slower. And it can take up to four weeks plus. Calling them will not get results to you any quicker and there is no way to find out the results until you receive them in the mail.

And you also have a holiday weekend now and had one just before you tested.

All that anyone can tell you is to be patient.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but thank you so much for your input on this! I'm sure you're right about the reasons for the delay.

I know others are in the same boat, but the wait is really getting torturous! As of today, it has been 5 weeks and 2 days since I took the NCLEX-PN!

5 weeks is a little long, definitely contact them to make sure that the letter did not get sent to a wrong address.

I took the nclex pn on 6/14/08. I called the state board yesterday and they told me they were behind. They were working on 6/4/08. They told me it would be at least another week for me to recieve my results. My friend took her test 6/10/08 and she still has not recieved her results. It is taking about 6 to 7 weeks to get the results and then it takes another 3 to 4 weeks after you pay the $125 license fee to recieve your license.

I am also waiting on my results, I took the NCLEX-PN on June 9th and its been 5 weeks. I called the BVNPT and they said that its being sent out..so hopefully, we'll get it this week.

I took my test on June 11, 2008. Today marks 5 weeks exact. I called them Monday last week to check if they had mailed my results already but the lady nonchalantly said they're still checking June 3rd tests. So I called again on Thursday, got the same lady who said the same exact thing!! Geez, they're real behind. I've already told myself that whenever I finally do get my results and they're not what I hoped for (which is to pass) that I have no more energy to get sad or mad because waiting these 5 weeks has been emotional roller coaster ride already.

You need to take into consideration that there are many new graduates out there at this time of year, so things are usually delayed.

Add in a holiday just before you tested as well as one just recently and that adds to it. Also the fact that CA does not have you pay for your license until you pass the exam is also helpful to some.

I took the nclex pn last june 16.I received a letter from the board of lvn last mon,july 14 that there was a problem with my live scan..I already mailed my livescan the same day and hopefully next week I will recieve a small letter telling that I passed.hehehehe

I just called BVNPT this morning and they are working on June 12th test results so another week or so as they say (took mine on 6/17) If the stress isn't enough to drive you crazy the delay will. I agree with growing pains about having no more energy and I am physically, emotionally drained whatsoever...waiting here in limbo and can't move forward
