Hello all,

I took my NCLEX-RN on December 21st and until now I don't see my name on the CA license verification site. I called in and they said they sent my results on the 26th. I am very anxious about my result and I feel like I failed since my name hasn't been posted on the site. Here's my case and I hope you guys can help or enlighten me with my concerns.

I talked to 3 representatives at CA BON since I took the exam:

1. One lady told me they sent out my results on the 26th, but I have a problem with my fingerprint card and that I need to discuss it with my evaluator to resolve it. Of course I left 2 voice messages to my evaluator and haven't heard back from her.

2. One guy told me that they don't have my fingerprint on file, and he will send me a new fingerprint card to re-submit it, before they can release me my result. I told him one lady told me that my result has been sent out already, and then he said they will have to put it on hold, because they can not release my result until they receive my new fingerprint card.

3. Another lady and the last one I talked to told me that she will send me a new fingerprint card for me to re-submit it as they don't have it on file. She said that they will not release my result without the fingerprint card only if I passed the exam, but if I failed I will get the result.

Now, here's the thing...I filed my application in March 2007. I paid for the application and the fingerprint card, but did not pay for the interim permit because I do not hold a license from my country. I sent my fingerprint card separately and received a notice of receipt for it. I've been communicating with CA BON since then, and they were asking me to pay for the interim permit which I did not apply for...and the story did not change until I talked with the evaluator one time. They asked me to write a letter explaining why I did not apply for the interim permit and why I do not hold a license from my country. After that they made me eligible to take the exam, so I thought the problem has been solved already. After I took the exam, I learned that there is still a problem with my fingerprint card. To cut the story short, they now transferred the payment for my "originally payment for" fingerprint card from the interim card to the fingerprint card, and now they are wanting me to re-submit a new fingerprint card as they do not have it on file.

My questions are:

1. Are they saying that they sent out my result because I failed the exam?

2. Won't they even notify me of my missing requirement to fix the problem? (I just learned about it because I called)

3. Is it possible that they will not release my result even if I passed just because I do not have my fingerprint on file? (I have a SSN and complete paperwork, except for the fingerprint)

4. Has anyone here did not receive his/her result due to missing paperwork and it's because he/she passed?

I took the exam and stopped at 75, and so I am not very confident that I passed, but it would really disappoint me if I failed, but what can I do? I just really want to be enlightened. I think I will get a letter from the CA BON soon as they said they sent out something to me on the 26th, and my greatest fear is that it could be my failure notice.

Any information will be appreciated.

They may not release results until everything is completed so if short on fingerprints they may wait until that is sorted. Doesn't always mean anything if you do not see your name on the BON website, many have posted on here that they received results before seeing their name on the website. Also you have to take into account the holidays. They will also not tell you result over the telephone you have to wait for the letter.

Thanks. I received 2 fingerprint cards in separate mails today, both postmarked January 2nd. I believe the two representatives I talked to sent me one each. I still have not received the letter they said they sent on December 26th. I'm still really confused because they have two versions at the CA BON, one says they sent my results on December 26th and the other one says there was nothing sent on December 26th. Anyway, I hope after I resubmit these fingerprint cards that I will finally get my results. Will keep you posted.
