Computer stop 265 items...Failed for two times..

This is my second NCLEX exam and both exams stop 265 and failed...
Need help to tell me what to do next.
Is theirs a way I can call NCSBN to re-check my last exam?
I'm planing to take the PN exam next month maybe I will pass this easy..

I'm sorry, I don't have much to tell you except to regroup, give a little thought to what might have gone wrong the first time you prepared, and change that for the better. Start studying again, find a method that has a high success rate and stick with it--don't flit from book to book to book.

As for re-checking your exam, that's a dead end. Can you just imagine the hundreds of calls (more??) to some office to beg them to please check their tests one more time? The results are what they are.

I don't know if I'd focus on taking the PN exam if you've studied for the RN; they're not the same scope of practice and I wonder if you'd have to change what you think the correct response would be based on the change of practice...? I don't know, just guessing.

Best of luck to you in whatever you DO do, to get through the next test!

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the exam...NCSBN or pearsonvue might be able to check each question for a fee(called challenging a question)if the state BON where you applied allows it.

PN exam has a different orientation; if you are educated as a nurse, then you perform as a nurse. It's a misleading information that PN exam is easier, both are hard in a different way, in their own respective discipline. No matter how hard, if you pray, do your best, and it's God's will, you'll pass.

The exam is scored by the test center computer and automatically verified when it is transmitted to Pearson VUE. See page 12 of this link:

With all due respects sir, when I completed my nclex-rn exam in HK, they gave me a yellow brochure that came from NCSBN, there is something on the cover that goes this way:

"You've completed the NCLEX EXAMINATION but you still have questions..."

Inside that brochure, there is a question:

"Is there an opportunity to challenge an item?"

The answer to the question above as written in the brochure:

"Some boards of nursing have laws or regulations that allow failing NCLEX examination candidates to review the actual test items answered incorrectly, and challenge the accuracy of items and answers. More specific information about review, challenge and fees for this service must be obtained from your board of nursing."

I think one can download that material/brochure here:

Just download:

Re: Computer stop 265 items...Failed for two times..

It is difficult to know for certain, but I interpreted the OP's question to be related to checking the scoring of the previous exam, not that he had an issue with the validity of any specific items. We are talking about two separate issues.

I see, okay, point taken sir, I understand. Well, at least now he/she would know more about it(especially if he/she would officially inquire).

May I know what "OP" means sir?

God bless!

OP stands for 'original poster'.
