I have heard a rumor that if you call the board, and ask them if you should buy champagne, they will give you an answer indicating the reults of your exam. Is this true? has anyone gotten reults over the phone from the board? I called and asked straight out, but they wouldn't tell me.

I have not heard that rumor. I have one friend who took the NCLEX in April and 2 weeks later her results were not up. It turned out she had a problem with her transcripts. But when she called the board, one man who answered said he could not give results over the phone, but "she has nothing to worry about." So she did pass, and he was sort of telling her in an off-handed way. Another friend called and asked about her results and the man who answered her calls said he could not tell her anything. He didn't even say she had 'nothing to worry about.' So my friend was convinced she failed, but she too passed..
So, when did you take the NCLEX? I took my Monday and wonder how long till I get results. I heard that people taking it lately are waiting longer to see their name up and know that they passed.
Waiting is hard!

I'm on the same boat as you guys. I took the exam on Saturday and my name isn't up yet. I'm so sick with apprehension right now. Really wish the state of CA would let us pay money to get our results early. Nerves to me cost more than money.

Just wondering if any of you other Californians have found your name online at the BON? I took it on Monday and I'm still not up. I feel sick everytime I check. I feel in my gut that I failed. I'm losing hope that my name will still show up this late after taking it. Everyone I've talked to found their name on the board withing 3 days.

I just found out unoffically that I passed by calling the board and asking them to give me some indication either way (this was my third call, and the only person who was willing to say "You have nothing to worry about"). This is day 7 for me and my name still isn't posted on the BON, they said they were having problems processing my paperwork. So there still is hope. Thanks to everyone for their advice.

Congratulations! Did you just graduate in June? I graduated in March so I don't think there should be problems with my paperwork by now. Just wondering when you did.

I'm in Southern CA and took the NCLEX June 21st. My name did not post online until July 3rd. I did not try calling the BRN so I don't know about that.
I read about someone who took it on a Sat. recently and found her name within a week. I don't think there is any rhyme, reason or meaning as to when they post. Maybe certain testing centers have more to process. Who knows!?!
Just know there is a wide span of time as to when names post there!
The average for CA is between 2-4 weeks.

Thanks gone2meowi! I will try and keep my hopes up. I know of someone who tested here in Northern California and hers was up within a week. Who knows, as you said! I will try and be hopeful over the weekend.

At least it should help to know they are not all coming out in the same time frame.
