is it better to take nclex in group?

Hi guys,

When taking nclex test do you think its better to answer certain number of questions and take a break in between, like answer 50 quetions then take 5 minutes break, then answer another 50 quetions etc.. OR do you think its better to just keep going and answer until computer shut off? When i'm doing my practice questions, i can really concentrate up to 50 questions, then my mind is completely somewhere else.
I guess i should try to increase my concentration huh?

I noticed while taking my practice tests at home that at around question 40 - 50 I would start missing more questions in a row. Knowing this I decided when I took my NCLEX I would take a break around that time and did. I only took 5 minutes (went to the restroom and moved around for a minute). I do believe it helped me though. Best of luck to you.

I see nothing wrong with doing it that way as long as you have time and it does not interfere with the quality of attention you are placing on the questions you receive. I have read of people doing similar things. Whatever works...it is YOUR test Good luck with what you decide. You may find that you are improvising as you go on during the exam.

I made last minute decisions during my exam. I decided not to look at the numbers of questions because if it went higher than I expected, I did not want to lose my mind. I also decided not to look at how much time passed or at anyone else getting up and walking out. When the proctor escorted me to my computer (and fortunately, I was in a room alone and got to choose my computer), I kissed it and said " Hello, NCLEX, I am here" (I know she looked at me like I was INSANE). Again, I felt...this is MY test, MY experience.
